it spans four climate zones: mid-subtropical, north-subtropical, warm temperate, and mid-temperate.
It encompasses all peaks above 1,800 meters in Zhejiang Province,
harboring over 1,829 species of seed plants, 273 species of ferns, 368 species of mosses,and 632 species of macrofungi. It integrates primitive wilderness of wildlife and human civilization.
Here, 97% of flowering plants form mutually beneficial mycorrhizae with symbiotic fungi in the soil through their roots.

Baishanzu in Qingyuan, Zhejiang, serves as a key distribution area for wild fungal resources in China. Known as the veritable "Kingdom of Mushrooms," it has established a large fungal library with abundant resources.
