Enterprise Research InstituteSince 2004, Baixing has engaged well-known domestic experts in edible fungi and food to form an R&D team. In May 2011, it established the Baixing Edible Fungi Product Deep Processing R&D Center. In November 2018, it was rated as a Provincial Key Agricultural Enterprise Research Institute and later renamed the Baixing Edible Fungi Research Institute. It has successively established industry-university-research partnerships with China Jiliang University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Jiangnan University, and other institutions. It has been recognized as a "National Specialized Center for Edible Fungi Processing Technology R&D," a "Provincial High-Tech Enterprise R&D Center," and a "Zhejiang Provincial Doctoral Innovation Station." The institute adopts a project responsibility system, under which the institute director coordinates overall R&D and innovation work, and it has established and improved systems such as job responsibility and incentive mechanisms.

The institute has 2,000 m² of R&D space and has invested nearly RMB 20 million in R&D and inspection/testing equipment. It now has R&D capabilities in multiple areas of edible fungi, and Baixing's R&D capabilities are industry-leading. It has obtained more than 70 patents, including 7 invention patents. It develops and launches about 10 new products each year. Baixing relies on new products to drive growth, with an output value exceeding RMB 500 million in 2025.
